We are only halfway through the school year and my students are becoming bored with the manipulatives that are in the classroom. We have used our current manipulatives in many different ways, but there is only so much we can do.
I'm requesting a variety of building materials and kits including 3-D Magnet Builders, Vehicle Building Engineering Centers, Young Architects Design Blocks, lace-A-Word Lowercase and Uppercase Beads, and Learn the Alphabet Dough Mats. I plan to utilize the materials in this project to reignite my students love for learning in new and expanding ways. This project will allow my students to build and be more creative. They will be able to build words with letters, build with magnetic shapes, and design with blocks. The Lace-A-Word letters will be used by the students to spell words such as their names, sight words and vocabulary words. Many of my students love talking about cars, drawing pictures of cars and I want them to start learning about how to be engineers and make their own cars.
This project will help my students tremendously by giving them a chance to learn and and experience more in the classroom daily.
