Students with Autism rely heavily on visuals for every day functioning. Everything from classroom schedules, to following directions, to washing their hands are demonstrated and taught visually. They also rely on visuals to communicate. Some of our students do not yet have the ability to speak, and therefore rely on pictures of the items they are requesting or for questions they are answering.
By donating to our project, you will provide the classroom materials needed for our staff to create and use individualized visuals for every student we work with. The power of language is remarkable, and we aim to give every child a voice.
