Elementary age students love games more than conversations which is key for counseling. I have found that with games and activities, students pick up on appropriate social cues much faster especially when they are playing with their peers. Counseling enriched games encourage the students to open up about their feelings in a fun and safe way. Many students will reference the games when experiencing a similar situation in their classroom or on the playground. I'm requesting a variety of such games including Snoots Toots, Classroom Guidance Games, Impulse Control Activities & Worksheets, one Totika Self-Esteem Game, Mixed Emotions and Feelings in a Jar.
Right now my counseling resources are limited due to funding but I hope to use these games and activities for many students each year. As part of the counseling library, these games will benefit many students for years.
