My classroom is full of 18 of the most amazing second graders the world has ever seen. They are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom, but despite these obstacles, my kids show up to school ready with a hug and a smile and an eagerness to learn.
My students are creative, tenacious, incredibly resilient and loving.
They are talkative and energetic and they love to discover new things. They benefit from lots of TLC, affirmation, and a rich learning environment.
From the minute they walk in the door of our classroom we focus on their strengths and abilities as leaders and problem solvers. My students ARE the future. By teaching them to be empathetic and inquisitive critical thinkers, my hope is that they will make the world a better place for all of us.
