We have twenty six students in our classroom with different needs and learning styles. Traditional seating (desks) deplete our room of space to move and breathe. Flexible seating, like the wobble seats requested, provides us with the freedom to move as well as the opportunity to choose the type of seating that works best for each student. It also opens up a lot of space for us. Without flexible seating my students are packed in like sardines in a can. They need room to learn without feeling like others are in “their space”. The choice part of flexible seating allows my students to take ownership of their learning process. The dry erase boards allow for an alternate to paper pencil assignments and allow for immediate feedback from students.
