Our small, public, inner-city school district, is comprised of about 26 different countries of families. We always have a wonderful mix of nationalities in one classroom, with different races, religions, languages and cultures. Although this can bring about some challenges, we have very few problems, especially with the younger children. The students tend to get along very well and we teach and remind to respect others daily, throughout our school and in our classrooms. Our school building is around 100 years old, and although beautiful, it doesn't have a lot of extra indoor space for extra-curricular activities, it doesn't have the newest or fanciest upgrades, and it doesn't have a large outdoor area for our students to play and run! We do have an amazing staff who care very much about the kids and their families and are making every effort to make their educational experiences as good as possible, because all families deserve a great school!
