My students come from a community where there is not a wealth of prior knowledge. My students deserve accessible, easy to read non-fiction texts about current events. Access to this information will allow my students to develop their own opinions about the world and grow as global citizens. These Time for Kids magazines will help my students to get excited about the news and what is happening in the world around them. As the future leaders of this country, this will provide tools to see application to the real world that they will be entering as citizens. Science and social studies need to become a priority in their lives.

About my class
