My Students needs headphones so they can work independently. My school is a low social-economic school and majority of the students do not have the opportunity to work on computers at home.
The headphones will be beneficial because my students need the opportunity to work independently and at their own learning level.
My students will work independently on specific skills needed to build fluency in reading, language arts, and grammar skills. We also conduct reading groups during their computer time which allows for differentiation.
Do to the fact that we do not have enough headphones for each student, my reading group and independent readers get distracted by the programs being used on the computer at full volume. By having headphones, my students will be able to work independently without sound distraction or disruptions from others using the computer around them.
