My classroom is equipped with a class set of tablets. However, I have noticed that to utilize them to their full potential, the students need a stylus to help them navigate and use certain programs on the computers. The stylus will open up an array of new programs and functions for the students to apply their learning in math, science, and literacy.
Students need personalized and differentiated instruction. Having functioning headphones, I am able to provide the students with opportunities for this personalized instruction to take place. Students will be engaging centers throughout the week that require them to watch, analyze, and interpret videos based on our units of study. This will make the center run much smoother if the students are able to fully concentrate on the work.
Both of these technology tools will help my students continue on their path of achieving their 5th grade academic goals.
