Students returning from remote learning need and want hands on, non-screen learning opportunities. One of our school's initiatives this year is "Project Play" where kids will be engaged in building understanding in: engineering, environmental justice, their impact on their community, in a fun and playful way. Students will be engaged in several different discourses about their projects and creations.
Students will use these materials to build a deep and complex understanding of scientific topic as well as critical thinking and problem skills. These skills will empower students as they will make the transition to middle school next year.
