Our school is a community based instruction program that serves students, ages 18-22, with various moderate/severe disabilities. As a community based instruction program we spend a great amount of educational time out in the community teaching social, vocational, and leisure and recreation skills. Our students benefit from social interactions and they are exposed to the activities that their peers without disabilities experience. Our students greatly benefit from these learning opportunities. At the same time, our students are exposed to the community in a positive manner.
