The children in my classroom have many different needs, some may require movement breaks as often as every 15 minutes, some may require frequent check-ins with the teacher, and others need reminders taped to their desk telling them the classroom and behavioral expectations. The students in my classroom are visual learners, kinesthetic, and tactile; they need to be constantly busy and work with their hands.
Our school is a diverse community of learners who come to school each day knowing that they are loved, respected and cared for. We provide many of our families in need with backpacks full of food from our food pantry at the end of each week to ensure that our students and their families are not hungry over weekends and holiday breaks. Our school does its best to contribute to the community and give back to families through a good deeds program running different programs each month. We hope to make our town a better place little by little and teach our students to help others.
