Hello interested donors! My name is Lauren Christensen, and I am a 4th Grade Spanish bilingual teacher in SFUSD in beautiful San Francisco, California. I love my job at Sanchez Elementary School in the city's Mission District, and I am passionate about bilingual education that serves all students. While San Francisco is a city like no other, I and too many fellow educators struggle to provide students with learning tools and experiences that will shape their education and turn them into the leaders of tomorrow. Additionally, the majority of our students and families rely on school as a place where they can not only learn, but receive health services, find relief from homelessness, and be safe for 7 hours each day. With needs this great, my goal is to make my classroom one where students can discover, explore, think critically, make mistakes, work cooperatively, and build community. Thank you for your interest!
