The high-quality art materials selected will help bring our science to life with the use of visual arts! I teach in themes, meaning whatever we are learning about in science we then read and write about, as well as draw and paint. When a student understands something they are able to draw it, and vise versa.
By integrating visual arts into science, students increase their observational skills, comprehension of the topics, high order thinking, and questioning. Students learn to observe the world around them and begin to ask questions about new topics. When we learn to care about the world around us, we desire to take care of it more deeply.
