Our soccer team has 27 young men who work their tails off every afternoon to get better individually and as a team. This is a big commitment for them, and requires them to balance their passion for the sport with school work, and in some cases other family or work responsibilities. While this can be difficult at times, going through this creates bonds between the players, and also develops a real connection between these young men and their school community. Having a training top "practice jersey," allows them to show some pride in their work around the school, and have something to remember their experience by as they move beyond high school.
By contributing to our project, you will be providing these boys with a physical token of the connection they are building with one another, and with the school community. They will be able to wear them around school to show their friends that they are part of something bigger than themselves. They will be able to wear them outside of school to show their pride in the connection they are forging with our school community. And lastly, as they will keep these after the season, you will be providing them with a lasting memory of the hard work they put towards our season, that will serve as reminder to bring a similar effort to their future life endeavors.
