My students are hard-working thinkers. They work to understand even the most difficult of math problems by building on their conceptual understanding. At one of the largest middle schools in the state, my students come from a variety of backgrounds and situations. Some come to class confident in their math abilities, while others have struggled for years. They are working to develop their confidence and ability to reason, specifically while working with their peers. Our school is a place where students are rewarded for their hard work, are challenged academically, and are encouraged to branch out in their thinking, especially in their study of math.
