In my classroom I plan on teaching students how to own their conflicts and communicate effectively how they are feeling without being offensive.
I plan to use the materials to hold individualized student workshops that focuses on conflicts, responses, resolutions and restorative practices. The students will benefit from such workshops to enhance their abilities to communicate, become more empathetic to their peers, to utilize coping strategies and self regulation.
I envision a positive and socially productive school environment. Where our differences are embraced and conflict is resolved through meaningful conversation. An environment that cultivates learning and social interaction while building classroom capital.
