My students are 4th graders at an elementary school in Charleston County, South Carolina. We are a Title I school with a high poverty population. My students love to learn, and they love that our classroom is personalized.
A personalized classroom means that students learn and master the academic standards at their level in order to be successful. It's not unusual for many students to be working on many different standards during the course of the school day. We use iPads and a variety of programs for students to provide evidence of their mastery of an academic standard. Our classroom is bursting with brains working hard and learning each and every day!
