My students will have their very own books to make notes, connections, and highlight unfamiliar vocabulary. This is a book they can use through their educational careers as an example of how to annotate.
Tuck Everlasting is a required reading for all 6th grade students, and 6th grade is a great time to teach this technique.
We have lamitated wall posters and laminated, individual annotations bookmarks for each student. These materials, combined with the personal copy of Tuck Everlasting, will provide the basis for good reading. With this project, we (our 6th grade reading team) will be able to make reading a lasting experience!
