Students at this school live in both urban and rural conditions. 70% of our students get free and reduced-price lunch. I am so proud by how far this school has come. We are now a top rated school in our state! Our parents have become involved and are proud of the school their children attend! Most of our students, however, are at the poverty level so most of the "extras" come from my pocket. My students are so excited when we receive new and interesting things to read and see! Magazines, for example, are a great resource for the classroom because students love diving into them and learning about things such as top news reports, animals, plants, science, everything and anything that is new and interesting!
