My school is located in a low poverty area with at least 90% of poverty. Our school does not have much technology. My classroom has 19 students who range from very low to high levels. I have three students who are at or above grade level, 15 students who constantly need small grouping and other teaching in order to function at an average level, and one student who receives special education. Many of my students do not have any help at home to assist with homework or projects; some parents work at night, do not understand the material themselves because of their lack of education, the parents speak limited to no English, or the parents are not active in their child's education. My students do work really hard to achieve goals. They are always excited to use technology to learn. I find that when the students are able to use technology to research topics and publish what they learn either by a video, brochure, or other things, it helps my students to perform better in all areas.
