Each student comes to school with their individual challenges, talents, and success stories. They may be over-dramatic, quiet and hesitant, out-going and social, back in the shadows or center of attention. There are some that can't wait for the next step in life, some that are afraid of it, and even some that are oblivious to it. They are starting their move into the grown-up arena and are confused about their role in it. They all want to be responsible, treated respectfully, and want to be included. My 6th graders are achievers, leaders, and learners. They have made so much progress this year because they are finding relevance and purpose in the work that we do. They want more and I want to provide it.
