Matching books to readers has always been the cornerstone of my English teaching... Now that I have over 200 students on my roster, it becomes more difficult than ever to have enough books in the classroom library to make that happen. We utilize the school library as well; however, many students prefer to check out books directly from me, one reason being they know I've read most of the books and can make personalized recommendations. Much of my own disposable income goes to buying books, it is a never ending activity. New books come out, older books get worn out, books disappear when students suddenly check out. Please help donate to my project to keep our classroom library the best it can be, which in turn will inspire so many students directly to READ.
