My student-athletes live and breath soccer. They come from very low-income homes and can not afford simple things like shin guards. A lot of my kids are ESL (English as a Second Language) students who are recent immigrants to our country and only understand the words "soccer team". They are able to feel apart of something when they join my team. I accept all students who want to play soccer on my team regardless of talent. This provides these students with a safe-productive environment in which to be in after school hours.
