Flexible seating will allow my first graders to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them. Currently my students have the traditional desk and chair, along with using clipboards on the floor. I feel that giving students choice in where they do their independent work is a great component in motivating them. I have noticed an amazing difference in my students engagement when given the few choices in their seating. The products I selected for my students will give them even more options for flexible seating. The lap desks will give the first graders the ability to move about the classroom to a space to work independently. The comfy floor seats and table will also give the students additional comfortable floor seating options. I have witnessed the positive affect flexible seating has had on my students and hope the additional options will help us grow even more!
