Every single day my 7th grade mathematicians come to school with a hunger to learn and grow as scholars. Unfortunately, these same students come from low income families and have very limited resources at home. Often, limited resources also means that students are performing below grade level. Students become discouraged by their performance and this can lead to a strong dislike for school as well as having detrimental effects on their future.
Providing a classroom environment that promotes students' individual needs help them learn in a style that promotes their unique needs and makes them feel like they are in a welcoming place.
As a teacher, I do all that I can to help my students succeed in the classroom
