Our school (unfortunately) boasts about a 70% free and reduced lunch base. We are a rural school that is tucked into a wealthy tourist destination. Many of our students are from single parent homes, and are from families that work in the tourism industry, with parents that often work late hours and most weekends. Our students live in a beautiful area, but at the same time are trapped in it. Our families do not have money to vacation, travel, or to afford any "extras". We have a staff of caring teachers that are "in charge" of a variety of after school programs to help add excitement to our students lives. Our students are great kids that appreciate attention and love hugs!
