Not only do students need to learn about the world around them, but they need the resources to meet their learning needs. I am asking for a variety of science materials including the complete collection of NGSS Grade 4 books and the NGSS Weather and Climate Book Collection. These materials should not only be informative, but also engaging to make learning of the material accessible to learners of all backgrounds and capabilities.
Every student is capable of learning when presented with the appropriate materials and using the books I have requested, my students will be able to access materials at different levels which will support student inquiry on a variety of topics. Having multiple texts in the classroom will ensure each student interacts with topics of their own choice. This self direction will foster their love of learning. All these materials will support student learning in non-fiction literacy units as well as support NGSS science lessons.
About my class
