Majority of my students come from families that qualify for free lunches at school. I teach College Algebra DE Math to 10-12 grade and I take dual enrollment class so my students can get Math College Credit with High school diploma.So we are trying to promote these students to head start their college education with preparing them college level classes. With new technology and curriculum these students need to be proficient at using graphing calculators and apps that will enhance their math understanding at the higher level with use of applications to solve problems (combination of old fashion learning like Vocabulary, note taking and white boards with new resources like Graphing Calculators and computers. Give them a head start to take college classes, Some of the students are first in their family to go to college. Along with giving them a choice to select a field in math if they have an aptitude in math direction.
