My school sits in the middle of a poverty stricken area. My students comes from families where television and video games serve as baby sitters. Students are unable to write their names with properly formed letters or the neatness needed to understand. As their teacher, I must utilize every avenue possible to first, express the importance of writing. Then, present as many writing learning experiences possible.
