My students pull information from a wide variety of primary and secondary sources for each of the major world religions. We use internet sources, library books, videos, textbooks, and more. I am requesting thirty copies of the book, Comparative Religion: Investigate the World Through Religious Tradition. Last year, I purchased one copy of this book for the classroom. It turned out to be the single best resource for finding quality information at my students' reading level. The book contains information about the origins, major beliefs, customs, and more about each of the major world religions.
My students will use these books and other sources to investigate the similarities and differences between the major world religions. Students will then work with teams to develop a public service announcement that promotes religious tolerance.
