My students attend a Title 1 School. We have a free lunch program for everyone. Our school is a PBIS school which stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. The students show positive behavior in all areas of school in the following ways, Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Kind.
Many of my students do not have the money to purchase even the smallest things such as school supplies. Even with this problem, my students are always wide eyed when they even receive any type of new school supply and handle everything with such care.
