Hello potential donor. Thank you for taking the time to review my welcome message. I am a 5th grade teacher at Union Elementary in Macon, Georgia. My students are 99% African American who receive free lunch from the state. Our school is located in an urban community where many of the students live in low income housing. I am reaching out to seek your help to have chrome books placed into my classroom for several reasons. Our students have to take a state standardized test on a computer where many are not familiar with how to be proficient. The few computers that we do have in our school are having to be shared among many students and are not giving our students adequate opportunities needed to prepare for an extremely important test. Many students are below grade level and with having the extra technology will help them gain individual practice through technology. Please help support our class.
