Thank you for taking the time make a difference in the lives of the students I teach. I love teaching. Our Society requires more in the 20th Century from schools, teachers and students than ever before. I teach basic skills to prepare the students for Kindergarten. However, Reading is most important for success. In my classroom you will see literacy everywhere. The children not only read and listen to stories but they get the opportunity to act out stories, dictate or write their own stories, they are asked questions about characters and events in the story and are taught print awareness (title, author, where you begin to read, etc). "Today's Readers Are Tomorrow's Leaders." I will be able to send materials home to get parents invovled in activities to help their child. Yes, "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child."! Thank you for caring, thank you for sharing your resources to help our future, our children.
