I am teaching a new curriculum this year that focuses on social-emotional learning. My students will be doing the difficult but important work of learning to regulate their emotions in order to handle conflicts and personal challenges.
I have requested soft, relaxed seating because my students need a safe and inviting space for our social-emotional lessons. I am trying to make my classroom more warm and inviting for my students so that they can feel safer and more comfortable.
I have also requested binders, sheet protectors, and rings to help them keep their handouts and skill cards organized and accessible.
