I am requesting an iPad Pro so my students can access both online and in person practice and learning. I have found while teaching both online and in person simultaneously that the online students can feel left out of the classroom experience as the teacher tries to navigate both worlds.
Being able to navigate in my classroom while working with online students will allow the online students to feel like they are connected to their classroom. I will be able to respond to their needs quicker and not feel the need to run back to my desktop every few minutes.
My students will use the iPad during group activity, such as our ecology Jenga or frog pond pollution where I can set up the iPad with a group of in person students so that the online students can watch the activity and participate in the data collection, group discussions, and not miss out on key concepts.
