I have a class of up to 30 Kindergartens with no assistant teacher. In the past, I was able to conduct small groups. I have 4 moderately working computers. However, now with increasing class size and limited resources, I am unable to work with students one-on-one while ensuring everyone else is working on engaging activities that they can do independently. Research shows the importance of conducting small group instruction to close achievement gaps. Currently, I can’t run rotations with the amount of students.
Having an additional mobile technology center with the tablets and a library center full of picture books and sight word practice will allow me to have 4 running centers.
