I teach reading intervention at a suburban high school. This project is designed to help the students in reading intervention because many struggle to build their skills as students. I have 14 students in this class, and 7 of them have IEPs. Although we are using engaging material and interesting readings, they still struggle with staying focused. They become sedentary and begin to zone out. It is a constant struggle to keep them engaged in the activity long enough to make progress in their skill set.
