My students come from a rural school in central Louisiana. Our school does not have the money to purchase novels although we are required to keep pace with other schools with larger budgets. These young people are great kids who enjoy reading. I want to provide them with the opportunity to do that. Most are too poor to buy books, so I have a library for them to use. However, these novels I have selected will be class novels all will read. I know they will enjoy these. Some novels are required by the state department of education. In order for them to utilize these materials at their fullest potential, we must have enough for all the students. I hope I can provide this for them. They deserve it.
