I teach combo inclusion class, which means I teach a class with 3rd and 4th grade students, half of them receive services for Special Education. I strongly believe in a flexible seating classroom! When we are working at home, we like to be comfortable, right?! The same goes for kids! Kids learn better when they are comfortable. I like to give my students a variety of seating options to choose from. They produce better work when they are allowed to move around and be free. No one wants to be stuck at a desk for 6 hours a day. The furniture provided by the state does not allow for student movement and flexibility. I would like to migrate my class to a completely flexible area but I cannot do that without your help!
