Having these flexible seating options will empower my students to make good choices of what their body needs to be successful in our classroom! By teaching the children how to choose a workspace that they feel comfortable in can help their body and brain work together to learn! They can choose the stability ball chair if they feel the need to bounce or they can choose the stools if they want to sit higher. They can choose the floor workspace if they want to sit flat.
They will be able to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
