My students come from a diverse urban background Milwaukee. We are a school of 90% poverty. Despite challenges, my classroom attendance is over 96% since the start of the year. We have had 22 days of perfect
attendance already. They come to me every day to learn. I need to find materials and methods to engage them, to keep the thirst for knowledge alive. My second graders are sponges that just absorb and go from there. I would love to have 3 iPads with cases in the classroom for research, independent reading and to use for small group intervention and acceleration. The children would be honored to have the ability to work on new technology to expand on their learning. Thank you for considering our needs.
