I have 22 eager and energetic third graders who thrive on the ability to move and choose. My students are very enthusiastic about learning and life, however they need a change from the traditional classroom seating. My students enjoy spreading out throughout the classroom to work in a spot that best suits them. We have very limited flexible seating in the classroom and I would love to better meet the needs of my students by helping them find what works best for them.
The school year is almost over, and I would like to start my next year off with allowing my new group of students to have the option of flexible seating. Having flexible options will allow my students to express their need for movement so they can focus their attention on learning. Flexible seating will allow my students to be engaged and explore learning in their own way.
