If you could ask any teacher what his or her perfect classroom would look like, they would probably be describing my students.
My 66 students are in 1st through 5th grades and are in the gifted program. They come to me weekly in order to accelerate their learning and so that I can challenge them to "think outside the box" They come from a variety of backgrounds, but we are at a Title I school with a very high percentage of free and reduced lunch so sometimes the lack of experiences and background knowledge get in the way of our learning.
Despite all obstacles, my students love coming to class every day and thrive with hands-on learning opportunities. They are highly motivated to learn and are very goal-driven.
