My Title I school has 600 students in Pre-K through fifth grade. They are curious, enthusiastic, hard-working, and respectful. My school has 84% of the students on free and reduced lunch and we have free breakfast for 100% of the student body. Each one deserves a dignified education. Unfortunately, many students do not have their basic necessities met outside of school.
Each of my students have developed a well defined eagerness for learning. They do not let any hardships outside of school stand in their way of exploring, befriending or gaining knowledge. They have learned to appreciate the diverse community at our school and welcome each of their peers.
