Many science labs emphasize the use of safety equipment, however we do not have the lab aprons that the investigations list in the materials. I want my students to know that every part of the safety aspects of a lab should be adhered to, and have them wear aprons when they are suggested. Science just wouldn't be fun without the mess. In our Earth Science classroom, we use dirt, sand, water, rocks, vinegar, cornstarch, food coloring, ketsup, and many other things that are just messy! To be able to make the mess without ruining our clothes would be a blessing to both the students and their parents.
