My students get to enjoy recess two times a day. One of the recesses is dedicated to gross motor activities. During this time, we focus on building gross motor skills. One of my students' favorite ways to build those skills is through riding tricycles. They enjoy riding along side their friends as well as riding together on a tandem tricycle.
These tricycles will play a major role in building my students' large muscles, which will help their coordination and balance. My students will gain muscle strength, posture control and endurance while riding on the tricycles. My students will gain these gross motor skills all while doing an activity that they truly love.
