Our school is a Title I funded school and many of our students live at or below the national poverty level.
Our school is located in a military town, so we see a large variety of students in our classrooms. This has been my first year teaching first grade and probably my biggest resentment is having regular desks in my classroom. Not only do they take up a lot of valuable space, but many of my students are too small to sit comfortably at their seats, which impacts their ability to work and collaborate to their best ability.
