My passion to increase student engagement was sparked after reading the book 鈥淭he Wild Card鈥 by Hope and Wade King. The Wild Card and the influence of the amazing educators that are a part of Get Your Teach On have inspired me to be intentional with how I have been planning, teaching, and delivering lessons to ignite the passion, energy, and engagement in each of my students. With each transformation or creative lesson that has been implemented in my classroom and school the academic tasks have also increased in rigor, and the students are rising up to conquer the tasks! I am hopeful that I will be able to attend the Get Your Teach On Conference in Los Angeles to continue to expand my own knowledge, creativity, and passion for teaching! In turn, I will return to my classroom and school ready to create even more dynamic, engaging, and meaningful lessons that will leave my students eager to learn more!
