This year my Title 1 School started a unique program for our students. We started after school clubs that are FREE to any child to join for one hour each day (except for Fridays). Most of the kids at our school would never be able to pay for an after school club. Over 100 applications were returned the very next morning with excited children just waiting to participate. We can offer clubs for free because teachers are donating their time. However, we need supplies to run the clubs. We have no funding for materials.
Legos was the overwhelming plea that my students chanted when asked what kind of club they wanted to join! As teachers, we wanted to meet their request, but could not afford to purchase the materials.
Your generous donations to our project will inspire children to develop an interest in STEM and promote community building as the children will have a safe, welcoming, and FUN after school program that is absolutely free to ALL kids at our school.
